Minecraft Now
Minecraft is super different now, than when people first tried it. You have learned how Minecraft was in the past. Now it is much different. The basic things in Minecraft are that there are four types of worlds you can play in. The first is Creative. In Creative, you and place down as many things as you want, because you have as many things as you want. You could do anything in that world, even fly. It would turn either day or night, and in night, enemies come out. They don't attack you though. It can also rain, have a thunderstorm, or snow. You can also go in the Nether. The Nether is like an underworld with more deadly enemies. It is filled lava, and if you find it, you can go through the End Portal. The End is the place where you fight the Ender Dragon. The Ender Dragon is and huge dragon that you have to battle. If you defeat him, you get the (if you don't want to know, DON'T LOOK AHEAD!) Ender Dragon Egg.
The next world you can go in is Survival. Survival is very similar to Hardcore and Adventure mode. I Survival, if you look at you bar at the bottom, you see how many lives you have, and if you need food or not. You don't get any blocks to start. If you want some, you have to dig blocks and put it in you inventory. Some blocks you can't get, unless you are holding a special tool. In the day, you can do anything you want and nothing can harm you. But, at the night, you find that enemies come out and try to destroy you. The Creeper, for example, was not meant to be in the game, but a pig glitched, and turned into one. They edited it and made it blow up when it comes by you. In the morning, most of the monsters burn and are eventually destroyed. But, some remain such as Creepers, Zombies, Enderman, and Spiders. Yes, the Ender Dragon, but also Ghasts, Blazes, Zombie Pigman, Wither Skeleton, and Withers. Okay, back to the normal world. In the normal world, you can make food or armor. (You might want armor going to the End). You can get food from destroying animals, then cook it in the furnace, for it to fill put more hearts you lost. With armor, you can dig it out of rocks, and craft it in the crafting table. Adventure mode and Hardcore mode are a lot like Survival but are a little different too. See those for yourself and have a fun time. Go Minecraft!

Minecraft's Education (Minecraft Edu)
Minecraft is also used for education in schools. For example, lets use Elizabeth Forward Middle School. Joel Levin (co-owner and education director) says that it's great to get a game that is proven to be fun to kids and bring it into the classroom. He says that there are many educational games out there but that it is great to get a educational game that the kids love. Anthony Hildebrand (graduate student) says in their research they started asking "What can Minecraft teach", but after play-testing with the students, they found out that the real question was "How can Minecraft teach". I personally think that it is a great idea to get a game that the kids love, and is yet educational too.
